Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare food products to proper specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness in and around the bakeshop area, including all equipment.
  • Accurately scale and measure ingredients within reasonable tolerances.
  • Notify Pastry Chef when stock runs low to insure production runs smoothly, effectively, and accurately.
  • Prepare pans for the baking of pies, cakes, and scheduled pastries.
  • Load and unload ovens.
  • Fill racks for transportation and storage.
  • Properly label and store back-up products.
  • Communicate production problems to supervisor.
  • Prepare various pasties, deserts, confections and bread etc. as needed for all areas of casino restaurant outlets.
  • Effectively communicate with management, chefs and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
  • Must be able to plan, coordinate and manage multiple work activities simultaneously.
  • Must be poised to handle a fast paced environment with multiple tasks under time constraint.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Through knowledge of customer service and hospitality principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the culinary arts.
  • Communicate regularly with the Pastry Chef.
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Meet Department productivity standards.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.
  • Provide assistance to the pastry chefs with regard to special functions and project preparation and presentation.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
